Craft brewery tour – NOT

It turned out to be a great day anyways – but it’s funny to report that our plans did not unfold as expected.

My friend and I rode our bikes to Powell Street Brewing but left without locking up because there was a big line-up.

At first we were surprised, but it made sense more quickly when thinking about the “Craft beer tour bus” we saw outside Off the Rail on our way. We passed this tasting room on Adanac Street, along with Bomber Brewing – two of our favourite spots. A few week ago we enjoyed these, as well as Strange Fellows on Clark.

Waiting in line seemed like too much hassle, so we went to Parallel 49 Brewery and – you guessed it – found another line-up.

It really hit home after this. Our neighbourhood craft brewery tour was not to be. The idea had become almost mainstream…
