That’s how this all started. See the cat in the middle of my orange plastic 4.5 cm DPNs (double-pointed needles)?

Here’s a little refreshment as I continue to knit and write from my van. It’s a six-hour shift today – and I’ll be finishing two “second mitts” (to go with the firsts). I’m a bit low on yarn for one but trying not to stress about it.

Did you ever stay awake all night when you were a kid? Just to see if you could? That’s what my son did last night. Now he’s sleeping in my van, on Commercial Drive outside our favourite cafe. So why not knit, right?

Here it is. No time for writing. Must get to work!

Here I knit – at the beach – where I stay til my son finishes school over here on the west side. I also do my other writing work here – making a living and always sorting tech challenges here in my “mobile office.” Each time, it’s a different issue, always related to powering half-broken …
